Brown Family Photoshoot
11th September 2011
This afternoon was spent in a school hall in a School in Little Chalfont where a not so small studio had been set up to Photograph the Brown family ahead of a 60th Birthday celebration. The brief was to get pictures of the entire family (about 15 people in total including children and babies). This is why we needed a large location to accommodate a set of this size.

About 2 hours and many poses later the job was done. Overall, a great success. I must try this again sometime.
Latest Wedding Album Reveal
10th September 2011
Today saw the reveal of my latest Wedding Album to Tracey and David.

Their wedding was earlier in the year and they had chosen a Picture book as produced by Booked Images. They had already seen the original design on my Mac but there is nothing quite like the finished product to hold. Once again Booked Images had surpassed themselves in the quality and it was quite obvious that both Tracey and David were really pleased with the finished result. The memories of their day came flooding back.

I just love days like this as it makes all of the hard work so worthwhile.
Tracey & David - Wedding - Album Reveal
11th August 2011
On Thursday this week Tracey and David whose wedding I photographed recently came round for the Wedding Picture Book reveal.

I am pleased to say they loved it (so did I for that matter). It told the story beautifully of their wedding day and brought back the memories they both experienced on that special day.

All we have to do is wait for is the finished product to be delivered in a few weeks time. I know there will be tears (of joy) when they open it for the first time.

What a fantastic way to record a wedding day.

I attach a screenshot of one of the emotional pages.

Wedding - Tracey & David
28th May 2011

St Marys Church - Haddenham

What a day this was. The start of the day did not bode well with leaden skies and rain threatening. The wedding was scheduled for 3:30pm at St Mary's Church in Haddenham. As the guests arrived there was the odd spot of rain. By the time the service was over the skies had partially cleared and we were blessed with some sunshine.

I only learnt of this wedding 2 weeks prior and we even managed to fit in a pre-wedding shoot (mainly for Tommy's benefit) the week earlier. With hindsight I can see why we did this as Tommy is such a bundle of energy there was no way he was going to stand still for some Photographer.

This was a fun wedding and all the guests assembled outside the church by the pond of St Marys and gradually made there way over the road to the Rose & Thistle for the reception. Definitely a day to remember.

Sara & Joe - Pre-Wedding shoot
23rd January 2011

What a fantastic day. Snow covered the ground in all directions, the sun was shining and boy was it cold. That sort of cold when you can't feel the end of your fingers (and that was with gloves on). Nevertheless, having a great couple to take pictures of took my mind off things. I think they will agree it was worth getting cold for.

SWPP Convention
13th January 2011
I am off to the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers convention in Hammersmith this weekend. It is the first show in the calendar and is a good opportunity to meet the Suppliers and catch up with what's new in the Photographic world.
Photoshoot Booking
05th January 2011
January has got off to a good start with another Photoshoot booking for early Spring time. It really is a great time of the year to be outside taking pictures. Once again Wendover woods may be the location. Hayley of Hewitts Barber shop in Haddenham is just deciding on the location and who ultimately will be joining her. I better make sure my hair is in order beforehand.
First Photoshoot for 2011
01st January 2011
It looks like an early start in 2011 for the first Photoshoot of the year. Laura and Lee are deciding on a suitable date and location. I am hoping it will be Wendover Woods as it is such a good location and has everything going for it (place to park, facilities for a change of clothes and also refreshments). Most importantly are the variety of natural backdrops ranging from trees, long grass and also winding paths.

Just need some good atmospheric weather on the day to really help to set the scene.

I can't wait.
